I can see you recently released your new song ‘We Are’, can you explain the process behind how that song was made? I worked on this song with a producer named Wasp who I am close to me. How do you spend your free time? Listen to music or work on it when you have time. You have released an MV for your song ’Slow’ could you explain what this song means to you? It's a song about getting closer to a woman, and it means she's falling in love. What has been your favourite song to make so far from your discography? What have you got planned for 2021? For 2021 most importantly i'm ready to release the best select few from the songs i recorded towards the latter half of 2020. i rebranded myself from jay2thekim to jay kim so a lot was pushed back music wise. other than that i plan to shoot music videos which i've been having a tough time doing partly due to covid but also due to struggling to find the right director and crew, i want my music videos to be in contention with any artist's videos for visual of the year. I can see from your Soundcloud you have collaborated with Dayrick? How was that experience? I think Dayrick reached out to me through instagram around december of 2019 after he came across my soundcloud. It had actually taken a few months of him sending me pack after pack of beats until he sent the beat that would eventually turn into HxH Jacket. What was is the one thing 2020 has taught you? I can’t boil it down to just one thing, I feel that I’ve learned so much about everything and everybody around me. Trust nobody, friends come and go, and family time is priceless!! I also learned that being alone sometimes is healing and peaceful once you lose the fear of being alone. Is there a smaller artist that you have had your eye on recently? Smaller?  If you mean artists with potential but didn’t get the buzz yet, yes.  That is why kode82 was created. The members you see there are the members I see potential in and of course we plan on expanding. Other than your own music, who else do you enjoy listening too? For the record, I don’t enjoy listening to my music once it's out. LOL I enjoy 90'~2000s r&b hip hop. Still listen to pac, biggie. I also dig Meek, tory lanez, drake etc..
