LIVIN talk producing songs for BoA, EXO & GOT7 and their unique charms!

Hello LIVIN, please may you introduce yourselves?

-MOON KIM: Main Vocal

If you could say anything to your international fans, what would it be?

-Thank you for waiting for our new music to come out.

We miss you guys so much. We can't wait to see you guys face to face after the pandemic is over.

Who would you love to collaborate with?

-Maybe some of the K-pop idol groups since we have been producing songs for many of them.

J-pop artist & J-rock artists because we are very much influenced by Japanese artists as well.

We are open for any offers from other artists who wants to collaborate with us.

Post-COVID is there anything you want to do?

-We want to have a live show with our fans and travel to different countries.

It would be great if we could have a possible showcase or a fan meeting.

What was your favourite part filming the MV for your debut ’Next To You’?

-We weren't at the place of the filming due to COVID. We let the MV director take the charge and shoot the entire MV with his team instead.

The MV goes well with the mood of the song and it has good aesthetic. 

We wanted to show parts of Korea to our international fans because we knew that a lot of them missed coming to Korea.

Being in the K Pop industry, what is one thing you have learnt?

-We learned that people are really hardworking. 

We learned good work ethics because it's a competitive industry in a good way.

It helped us to improve and push ourselves as musicians.

We were able to absorb different genres of music from other talented K-pop artists as well.

What songs are on your playlist right now?

-We've been listening to: Justin Biber, Lauv, Bazzi , John K, Quinn XCII, Jake miller, king gnu, Pink Sweats, The weeknd, Khalid, Alina Baraz, Galimatias, Mac Ayres..etc

Is there any plans for the remainder of 2021?

-We already some songs ready to be released so we want to make sure to release as much music as possible this year.

We want to show different vibes such as emotional ballad songs to acoutic pop.

We want to stack up the songs this year to possibly put an album together by the end of this year or early next year.

What shows have you been watching recently?

- We watch a lot of shows from netflix and we also love watching Japanese animations.

Attack of the Titans, Demon Slayer, Terrace house, etc

Entering 2022, what is the one thing you want to do?

-We want to be able to go outside without putting on a mask! Hopefully all around the world.

What is your guilty pleasure at the moment?

-Watching animation and eating late night snacks.

Outside of music, what hobbies do you do in your free time?

-We love watching movies. There will be a horror movie coming out in Korea called RANG ZONG (The Medium) soon.

We are very excited to watch that movie. Sometimes we play games or we workout to keep our stamina going.

What inspired you to start LIVIN?

Initially, Moon and Sooyoon met one day to write a song together for other K-pop groups but they both wished that the song could be released as their own band's music.

Moon decided to ask KYUM and STANBOYS to join them to start a new band.

We wanted to make music with more freedom and put in more of our color as well.

We just wanted to have fun.

What are the unique charms of LIVIN?

-Since we are producers and composers in the K-pop industry with different musical backgrounds,

we create a special color of our own in the music we make together. 

Moon as the formal vocalist of the band Royal Pirates, he comes up with catchy melody lines.

Sooyoon adds his unique vocals to the band and supports Moon with writing the melody lines.

Sooyoon also writes beautiful lyrics. STAINBOYS are amazing track makers and has a great taste in pop music.

KYUM specializes in making great emotional ballad tracks with his outstanding piano skills.

What songs have you produced within the K Pop?

- We have been toplining, producing tracks, and writing lyrics for various K-pop & J-pop idol groups such as:

BoA, EXO, GOT7, WEi, ORBIT, MCND, PRODUCE101 JAPAN, HIGHLIGHT, JO1, SF9, CN BLUE, Weki Meki, etc.
